Nalanda University to start academic activities from 2013

Nalanda Mentor Group (NMG), the interim board of governors for the proposed Nalanda University held its meeting in Patna on July 6, 2011. Nobel laureate Dr Amartya Sen presided over the meeting. The meeting decided to start academic session of the university from 2013 beginning with the School of Historical Sciences and School of Environment and Ecology.
