Revival of Motipur Sugar Mill on the cards

Bihar Government signed an agreement with Indian Potash Limited (IPL) for setting up a 50,000 quintal sugarcane crushing plant in the state. IPL's Executive Director Sudhir Relan and the Principal Secretary (sugarcane) signed the agreement in Patna on January 12, 2011 for the revival of the sick sugar mill at Motipur in Muzaffarpur district.

Besides the sugar mill, the company will also set up a distillery and a 15-MW captive power plant.
